Police are warning residents to be vigilant after reports of suspicious behaviour in Leamington.

On Monday March 20 at 12.30pm a man called at a house in Princes Drive saying that he needed help getting money for a train ticket.

The police suspect that his needs were not genuine.

There have been similar incidents reported to the police from other residents in Leamington.

The man has been described as white, in his late 20s to early 30s, with short brown hair, clean shaven and wearing a jacket and holding a carrier bag.

Police are reminding residents not to allow strangers into their homes and that they should report any similar incidents to them by calling 101 in non-emergency cases.

If anyone has any information about the incident in Princes Drive they should contact the police by calling 101 and quoting incident number 158 of March 20.
