Charles Neale started his running challenge on March 8 and will be running everyday until March 31.

To make his running challenge more of a challenge he decided to complete his running wearing his swimming trunks.

He said: "The Speedo element was incorporated to make running 200K more of challenge especially considering the time of year (cold weather etc).

"It was also to attract more attention, as more attention enhances the chances of further donations.

"People have been so supportive, the amount of messages I’ve received is overwhelming.

"It’s also providing some humour to the challenge and videos/pictures which ultimately keeps everyone engaged."

Charles' efforts are all in aid of Cancer Research and as of Wednesday afternoon - just two days after he started his challenge - he has just over £1,000 on his fundraising page.

Charles said: "I was inspired to take on the challenge for the charity because of my close friends and girlfriend have lost loved ones to cancer.

"My target was to raise £300 to £400, but I’ve already surpassed that. The reaction so far has been overwhelming and the support with messages and on my social media has been fantastic."
