Leamington man is taking on a virtual cycling charity challenge which will cover the 1,500 kilometre distance between John o' Groats and Land's End
Doug Langley has now covered more than half the distance on his exercise bike at home to raise money for Guide Dogs
A Leamington man is using his spare time in lockdown to take on a long-distance virtual cycling challenge to raise money for a charity with strong connections to the town.
Doug Langley has been taking an hour each evening after work in his job in childcare to jump onto his exercise bike at home for an hour to cover the 1,516 kilometres between John O'Groats and Land's End.
He has covered more than 800 km in about 38 hours of cycling so far and has raised more than £300.
Doug said: "I wanted to do something positive in these uncertain times and chose Guide Dogs as I have grown up in Leamington and have always thought what a fantastic charity they are and always look forward to seeing the dogs being trained around the town."
