Kenilworth will be hosting its first 'naturewatch' week next month.

Naturewatch is a week-long series of outdoor activities for children and families where they can 'celebrate and learn' about the nature and wildlife in Kenilworth and the local area.

It is due to take place from Saturday May 29 to Sunday June 6.

The week will start with a naturewatch stall at the open day market and a shop window competition on May 29.

The activities during the week include a minibeast hunt, plant and flower surveys, moth and bat evening, forest encounter, tours of local nature reserves, and photography and art competitions.

Organised by the town council’s climate roadmap group, the events are run by local community groups and independent providers including Friends of Abbey Fields, Warwickshire Wildlife Trust, Bee-Friendly Kenilworth, and Kenilworth Eco-Church Groups and Closer Look at Nature.

All activities are free for participants and require online pre-registration.

Event registration is now live.
