Persimmon Homes South Midlands is about to begin work on highway infrastructure for The 350 home Grange development, while the relocation of Hastings House Medical Centre is expected to start in Easter 2017.

The practice, which has received full planning consent and will replace the current surgery in the village, has been designed to provide enhanced primary care services as it more than doubles in size creating an additional five clinical consulting and treatment rooms, a substantially larger car park as well as Wellesbourne Pharmacy.

Although the surgery is only moving 250 metres, the new practice will have the space to accommodate a minor operations suite, physiotherapy and counselling services plus the capacity to further expand its offering as the local population increases.

Speaking of the planned development, Dr Read-Jones from Hastings House Medical Centre, said

“It is fantastic that we will have a new improved medical practice.

“We are looking forward to working in our wonderful new building that has been designed for 21st century healthcare capable of delivering patient-centred primary care in the right place.

Andy Peters, managing director at Persimmon Homes South Midlands, added: “We are very pleased that proceeds from The Grange development has helped secure this new state-of-the-art primary care centre.”
