The M6 has re-opened near Rugby after an incident where a car and lorry crossed over from the northbound to the southbound carriageway.
The incident happened at around 3.40am and Highways England’s traffic officers worked with the emergency services at the scene.
The car stopped in the central reservation and the lorry fell onto its side over two lanes.
The southbound carriageway was closed between junction 2 at Coventry and the junction with the M1, known as Catthorpe Interchange.
One lane was also closed on the northbound carriageway.
