Organisations from across south Warwickshire are being invited to pitch their group as a cause for the Leamington Peace Festival to support.

New to this year, the festival is offering a ‘Peace in Action’ forum, where festival-goers will have the opportunity to decide which cause or organisation will receive the public support of the festival until next year.

The three causes for whom the most messages of support are received will be invited on to the main stage at the festival, which takes place in the Pump Room Gardens, to tell crowds about the work they do and the support they need in order to improve. There will then be a public vote, the winner of which will work closely with festival organisers throughout the year on support and promotion.

Any organisations wishing to take part in the forum are asked to email press@peacefestival.org.uk before this year’s two-day event takes place on Saturday June 14 and Sunday June 15.

The popular festival will include the usual array of vegetarian food, live music and poetry, varied workshops and stalls. Visit www.peacefestival.org.uk
