Kenilworth’s fourth Foodie Fortnight is set to start on Friday September 11 and will continue through to Sunday September 27.
Restaurants across the town will be offering special discounts for customers, enabling locals and visitors to try several places during the two-week event.
Morris Bond, Chair of Foodie Fortnight, said: “We hope that residents and visitors have a fun-filled fortnight and take advantage of the great offers being laid on by the businesses in Kenilworth.”
On Saturday September 12, the Talisman Theatre will be hosting the Foodie Fortnight Launch Market in Talisman Square from 9am-4pm, which will feature music, live cooking demonstrations and several market stalls selling food and drink.
On Thursday September 17, The Gallery will be hosting an evening of whisky tasting with Matt Swift, founder of the bespoke whisky-tasting company Matt on Malt.
Tasters will experience six different single malt whiskies and will learn how to tell the difference between malts distilled in different regions simply by their aroma.
The tasting starts at 7:30pm and booking is required - tickets cost £25 and anyone wishing to attend should call The Gallery on 01926 854585.
St Nicholas Hall will host the KT Tea Party - a celebration of the 125th anniversary of Kenilworth Tea on Saturday September 19 from 3:30-5pm.
Prosecco and cakes provided by local bakeries and Kenilworth Tea will be served.
Tickets cost £10 and can be bought at ticketssmart.co.uk/product/k-t-tea-party.
On Thursday September 24, The Almanack will have a British Tapas night, and guests can book a place at the Chef’s table where resident foodie, Jon, will talk diners through the food being served.
To book a place on the Chef’s table, call 01926 353637.
Finally, The Engine Inn is holding its own beer festival with a range of real ales and cider on offer from Thursday September 24 to Sunday September 27.
