Graham pronounces the Warwick real ale is good to drink

There are not many opportunities for Warwick’s town crier Graham Sutherland to indulge in his other honorary job - that of official ale taster to the Court Leet.

But the chance arose last week when Tom Douglas, the newest landlord in town, asked Graham to give his seal of approval to one of eight real ales.

Tom - who has spent some 35 years as a publican - has just converted the old post office in West Street into a micro-pub.

He will serve pie and mash with his ales during the day and invites customers to bring in a takeaway at night.
