Officers in the Operational Patrol Unit (OPU) for Warwickshire Police found the vehicle used in the burglary near Coventry.

A spokesperson for the OPU said: "It was pursued where it drove the wrong way down a dual carriageway and discarded items, which we've recovered, that were used during the burglary.

"The vehicle was followed by the helicopter until it went to the Ricoh Arena where the driver ran off into the shop and changed his clothing.
