Disturbing mystery over bucket of drowned mice found by the side of the road near Leamington - police looking into possible poisoning

A bucket of drowned mice - who might have been poisoned - has been found by the side of the road near Leamington.

Police officers found the disturbing crime this morning as they were patrolling in Hunningham.

A spokesperson for the Kenilworth and Warwick Rural Police said: "A bucket was fly-tipped at the side of the road which was full of drowned dead mice. It was a bizarre thing to find.

"Warwick District Council was called immediately to collect as there was concern if there was any poison in the water or the mice had been poisoned."
