Busy weekend for Warwickshire Police after more than 50 people reported for Covid fines

It was another busy weekend for Warwickshire Police after officers reported more than 50 people for covid fines.

A spokesperson from Warwickshire Police said: "It was a busy weekend for our officers as they continued, amongst their other duties, to support the national effort to slow the spread of Covid.

"While the vast majority of people are doing their bit, it is unfortunately clear that some people still don’t understand the importance of staying at home, social distancing and self-isolating when required."

More than 50 people were reported for fines for breaches which included parties, gatherings and people not self-isolating when they were required to do so.

Here is a list of the breaches supplied by Warwickshire Police:

• A group illegally gathered in Bridgefoot Multi-storey car park in Stratford

• Seven people at a party in Brackley Crescent in Warwick

• Eight people at a party in Bristol Way in Wellesbourne

• Six people at a gathering in Napton Drive in Leamington

• An hand carwash that was open in Exhall

• A woman from Rugby who had a visitor when she should have been self-isolating pending the results of a Covid test.

• A woman with Covid from the Stratford area who was not self-isolating following a requirement to do so.

• Two people at a gathering at a property in Coronation Avenue in Polesworth
