Arrests made after police discover cannabis farm in Radford Semele

Four arrests were made yesterday (Thursday May 6) in connection with cannabis farm at a home in Radford Semele.

Officers responded to a report of men loading bags into a Mercedes Sprinter van that had pulled up in School Lane at around 11.55am.

On arrival officers searched the van and found cultivation equipment including pots and soil.

Inside the property a cannabis farm was discovered with 70 mature cannabis plants on the ground floor and a further 154 juvenile plants growing upstairs.

Illegal modifications had been made to the electricity supply for the purpose of plant cultivation.

The men arrested were a 26-year-old from Dorset and three others aged 26, 35 and 36 of no fixed abode. The men remain in custody whilst enquiries continue.

Officers are appealing for witnesses, any dash-cam or doorstep CCTV which may assist in investigations.
