Cubbington firm is aiming to train more apprentices

CCP Ltd has recently moved into Cubbington and is looking for apprentices .

The company has just completed 20 years trading in the area, having moved from Siskin Drive in Coventry.

Operations and sales manager Andrew Kuriata said: “The company is at the forefront of delivering managed services to the telecoms sector for companies such as EE, Ericsson, Nokia and Huawei. Current projects include Darwin which is providing 4G and LTE services to the rural areas of the UK for EE (via Nokia) on behalf of the Government.

“Two years ago we embarked on an apprenticeship scheme with Coventry College and took on our first apprentice, Luis Gilbert. Luis has now completed his final piece of college coursework and was the first to complete his NVQ Level 3 in his class.

“When Luis is not on block release with the college or studying, he works at our office with our experienced engineering team and has quickly become a respected and integral member of team. As part of his training plan his activities including remotely configuring, upgrading and rehoming base stations on the legacy Orange UK network and now supporting the EE Darwin Project.

“Having completed his apprenticeship the company was delighted to offer him a full time role and a pay rise as recognition for all his hard work.

“Josh Hetherington is our second apprentice who was taken on shortly after and is hot on the heels of Luis and we are actively seeking new recruits.”
