Thousands turned out to celebrate a Bonfire Night complete with fireworks and music in Warwick’s annual display at the weekend.
Organised by the Lions and Rotary clubs, the display at Warwick Racecourse on Saturday evening was about providing a spectacular show and bringing in charity funds.
Three Guys made by pupils in Newburgh and Westgate schools were burnt on the fire, and for the first time the fireworks display was set to music to make this year even bigger and better.
Town mayor, Mandy Littlejohn was joined by Coten End pupil, Eleanor Bobe to light the fire and start the evening celebrations after Eleanor designed this year’s mayoral Christmas card.
John Taylor, chair of the bonfire committee said: “We are delighted that Warwick town people turned out in their thousands for their regular show, and are most grateful for their support.”
Proceeds from the night are distributed to local charities and good causes by the organising clubs.
