Ardbeg is offering whisky lovers the chance to win a ‘monster night in’ this Halloween

Ardbeg is offering whisky lovers the chance to win a ‘monster night in’ this Halloween - as they dispatch a crew of mummies, mutants, and sea creatures to deliver complimentary cocktails and mixology sessions to doorsteps across the UK.

The Distillery’s monster delivery service will give fans in London, Manchester, Edinburgh and Islay the chance to receive a Monster Night In pack - with all the ingredients for a tongue-tingling Halloween movie night, including a delicious Ardbeg Wee Beastie smoky cocktail.

Competition winners can expect a bang on the door sometime between 29 and 31 October, as bike-riding, box-wielding monsters take to the streets to personally present them with their prize.

A handful of winners will also be selected to win a “Knocktail Experience”: not only will they receive a special stash of Halloween treats including a bottle of Ardbeg Wee Beastie and Amazon Fire Stick, but they’ll also get a visit from their own personal monster mixologist – who’ll concoct a cocktail, right on their doorstep.

Colin Gordon, Ardbeg’s recently appointed Distillery Manager, said: “Our trusty team of creature couriers will ensure winning fans enjoy a Monster Night In this Halloween.

“Ardbeg Wee Beastie is a dram untamed by age, with a formidable bite, so it’s the perfect mouth-watering main ingredient in a creepy cocktail – ideal for ‘fright night’.

“To those who are lucky enough to nab one of these deliveries, I say lock your doors, delve inside and prepare to come face to face with the Wee Beastie.”

Monster deliveries will be made on 29 October (London), 30 October (Manchester), and 31 October (Edinburgh and Islay). Social distancing will, of course, be maintained at all times.

For those not lucky enough to nab a delivery, Ardbeg has also created a series of cocktail recipes perfect for an at-home Halloween. All cocktails are made using Ardbeg Wee Beastie.

Ardbeg Wee Beastie is a five-year-old Scotch whisky. It has intense aromas of cracked blacked pepper which mingle with sappy pine resin and a sharp tang of smoke. Suddenly, an explosive mouthfeel bursts forth with chocolate, creosote and tar. Savoury meats sink into the palate before a long salty mouth coating slinks away… revealing the inner beast of this Islay icon.
