TV fitness star Mr Motivator turned up in Warwick to get elderly residents up and moving.

He was joined by his wife Sandra to host a live ‘socially distanced’ workout for residents at Inspired Villages’ Austin Heath retirement village in Heathcote, Warwick.

To celebrate National Fitness Day on Wednesday (September 23), Mr Motivator (aka Derrick Evans) and Sandra hosted a 30 minute live workout at the village, with residents and colleagues also getting involved.

Suitable for all fitness levels and abilities, Sandra demonstrated alternative movements for those who prefer to stay seated.

Mr Motivator said: “Exercise is so powerful; it can help us all to live happy, healthy lives – whatever our age. I should know because I’m in my 60s and I feel better than ever.

"Being active gives you a sense of achievement, keeps your mind and body healthy, and is a brilliant way to meet people and socialise.

“The important thing is to find something you enjoy and at a time when we are staying socially distanced it’s still important to keep moving, whether that’s a walk in the fresh air or yoga in the living room.”
