The Warwick district now has the lowest Covid rates in the county as rates continue to fall.

The Stratford district has been the best performer over the past few weeks but that area has seen a 45 per cent increase in cases - although its overall rate is still very low.

Warwick district's rates have continued to fall and with Stratford's relative increase, it is now the lowest in Warwickshire.

The Warwick district now has the lowest Covid rates in the county as rates continue to fall.

The figures are based on a seven day rolling average rate (up to March 12), based on the number of positive cases per 100,000 people.

The Warwick district's rate is 41 per 100,000, which is below the national average.

Within the district, there are five areas that are classed as 'nearly Covid free', meaning they have recorded somewhere between 0-3 cases over the seven days.

They are:

- Kenilworth West

- Kenilworth South

- Leamington West & Milverton

- Lillington

- Whitnash

Just last week, Whitnash saw a small increase of cases so the sudden fall is a welcome relief.
