Village fayre raises £2,600 for charity
Fenny Compton villagers Gay Mathie and Suzanne Pratt, who have been organising the annual event at the village hall for many years, are delighted that so many people turned out at the fayre, which took place recently and was fundraising for CLIC Sargent children’s cancer charity and Cancer Research UK.
Mrs Mathie said: “We had a brilliant time. The fayre was very well supported and masses of people turned out despite the appalling weather. Father Christmas was bang on time as well which was quite a feat considering the weather and road conditions. We took over £2,600 which is a fantastic result.

“A big thank you to all our supporters, friends and neighbours and local businesses for contributing so much to our team effort. We really couldn’t do it without all of you.”
