Motorcycling members of the Royal British Legion’s Riders’ branch called at the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers Museum at St John’s House last Saturday.
They have been carrying a specially-commissioned wreath of metal poppies on a 1,500 mile UK fundraising journey as part of First World War tributes that ended at the National memorial Arboretum and Alrewas.
The riders were welcomed to St John’s by Major John Bartlett, TD, and members of the Fusiliers Association Warwickshire.
Also present was Mrs Gillian Guy, county vice chariman of the RBL and Gordon Garland, chairman of the RBL Coventry number 1 branch.
Standard bearers were also there as county chaplain Rev Stella Wallace-Tween led the prayers.
