A comedy band with a global fan base who have smashed online records are coming to the Spa Centre in Leamington this month.

The Axis of Awesome - who have played to sell-out audiences at the Edinburgh Fringe, Sydney, Melbourne International and Adelaide Fringe and Cabaret festival, toured the UK, Germany, Sweden, Singapore and the USA and played at the invite-only Montreal Just For Laughs festival - will bring their new show, Viva La Vida Loca Las Vegas, to the Leamingotn venue on September 26.

The trio’s Four Chords Song is one of the highest rated YouTube comedy videos of all time, while their latest hit, Rage of Thrones, has had more than one million hits.

The Axis consists of lead singer Jordan Raskopoulos, who recently won an International Emmy as part of the team behind #7DaysLater, classically trained musician Benny Davis and guitarist and specialist improviser Lee Naimo.

Describing themselves as “The World’s Most Awesomest Comedy Band”, the band promise that audiences will be “laughing and/or gasping, depending on your gender”.

The show starts at 7.30pm. Tickets cost £14 (£12 concessions). Call 334418 or visit www.royalspacentreandtownhall.co,uk
