Set sail for comedy with Gilbert & Sullivan’s opera, HMS Pinafore at Leamington’s Spa Centre this month.

Spa Opera will go back to their operatic routes with the performance of the sea-bound show which runs on the main stage from October 21 to Friday October 25.

The hilarious operetta, also known as ‘The Lass that Loved a Sailor’, tells the story of love between the captain’s daughter and a lower-class sailor. Shunning her father’s choice, the story takes them on a journey through the seas - all coming to a head with a very unexpected ending.

Well-known local Director Rob Kemp has joined the Spa Opera company for the first time, while Richard Taggart returns again as musical director.
