Friday night brings more music at Brinklow club
The Willow & Tool Band are this Friday’s guests. Two longstanding stalwarts of the Coventry and Warwickshire folk circuit, Pete Willow (The Oddsods, Amaranth, BorderLine Crossing) and John ‘Tool’ McIntosh (Sneak’s Noise, Peeping Tom) have joined forces to establish a formidable new line-up.
The band performs a repertoire of original compositions, British and American traditional material and arrangements of songs by the likes of Van Morrison and Donovan. Pete’s vocals and guitar and Tool’s bass playing are complemented by the harmonica, percussion and ukulele of Keith Eardley (Amaranth, Dustbowl String Band, Bear County Band, Carbon Dating Agency) and flute and vocals from Tool’s daughter, Laurel McIntosh (The QP, BlueSox, Four In A Bar). The band made their debut performance at the 2014 Warwick Folk Festival and now host the popular monthly Willow and Tool Music Parlour sessions at The Harvester Inn, Long Itchington.
