David Bowie, Johnny Cash, The Doors, Bob Dylan, Grace Jones and Bruce Springsteen - only a few of the musicians to feature on a list of limited edition vinyls people in Leamington can get their hands on on Saturday.

Head in the Royal Priors is once again hosting the popular Record Store Day, which has gained more and more interest since it was launched in the USA in 2007 - and then in the UK later that year - to give independent record stores the chance to celebrate music.

Special vinyl and CD releases will be available to buy for just one day (Saturday April 19) from 8am onwards, while there will also be quizzes, competitions and live DJs throughout the day - and in the afternoon, a performance by Leamington band the Coves.

Store manager Kenny Hutchinson, who has overseen three Record Store Days at the Head in Belfast, is looking forward to his first one in Leamington. He said: “People travel from all over Ireland to get to Record Store Day at Head in Belfast and I can see that there is a huge interest in music in Leamington as well. Customers seem really excited about it - there’s a real buzz about town about the day.”
