Players in the dark at Warwick University Squash Festival

The University of Warwick are holding the UK’s first UV Squash Festival.

The four-day festival, which began on Wednesday, features 160 players, with Kenilworth Squash Club and LA Fitness Warwick taking part tomorrow afternoon.

The unique event, which will see matches played under ultraviolet light with fluorescent tape on the walls and on the rackets, will culminate in an exhibition match between the world number 12 Tom Richards and number 69 Charles Sharpes.
