The Royal Leamington Spa Archery Society’s club championship event for the first time included a competition for the less experienced or ‘Novice’ archers.

The trophy has recently been donated in memory of Beryl and Bill Letts, two of the clubs best archers during the 1950s.

There was fierce competition for the new trophy which eventually went to Jim Parker with 892.

Tim Cole was second on 847 and Damien Culley third with 842.
