Top Gamble took the feature race at a rainswept Warwick last Thursday, sparking a 636-1 treble for trainer Richard Lee and jockey Jamie Moore, writes David Hucker.

Carrying top weight in the Lewis Badges Novices’ Limited Handicap Chase, 11-4 favourite Top Gamble lived up to his name when making virtually all the running and going clear at the second-last, putting seven lengths between himself and his nearest pursuer Jumps Road.

Having won a novice chase at Wetherby in good style last time out, this was Top Gamble’s third win from seven starts and he looks a useful horse in the making.

Lee and Moore went on to spring a 33-1 surprise with Kylemore Lough in the Lewis Badges Maiden Hurdle, although luck was on their side as Kingscourt Native and Daryl Jacob were ten lengths clear with the race in the bag when falling at the last flight.

The duo made it an afternoon to remember when Incentivise was driven out to beat Barton Gift by two lengths in the Jockey Club Catering Festive Christmas Handicap Chase.

Chatez, a three-time winner on the Flat, defied a penalty for his win at Bangor last time in some style in the opening £10 Free Bet At 32Redsport.Com Juvenile Hurdle and looks a live Cheltenham Festival candidate for trainer Alan King.
