New Stockton manager Easterlow brings in Easterlow number two

New Stockton manager Scott Easterlow has gone for a familiar face to help him bring about an instant return to the Coventry Alliance Premier.

Stockton finished rock-bottom in the top flight last season, prompting them to appoint Easterlow in June and he will be joined at Town Piece by his dad Marcus, who will act as his number two.

Goalkeeping coach Dave Moreton is also coming in alongside the former Alveston manager and Scott says the duo will provide valuable support.

“The structure around the team is as important as the players, hence why I brought in Dave and my dad,” said Easterlow, who guided Whitnash Reserves to the Division Three title last season.

“At a lot of the teams I’ve played at over the years there were never any special measures taken to help the goalkeeper and, of all the roles in a team, that’s arguably the most important so Dave is a massive plus for us as a team.

“In convincing my dad to come out of retirement I have brought in someone who I know will be committed week-in, week-out and I trust 100 per cent.

“Also, he is one of the only people I know who looks more into the details of game preparation and analysis than I do.”
