Carl Heeley’s side knocked out Brakes on their way to an FA Cup first-round tie at Coventry City, where they produced the shock of the round by securing a 2-1 win.

A trip to Scunthorpe United now awaits and Leamington boss Paul Holleran said it is a “once in lifetime” period for Worcester.

“It’s all positive - a once in a lfetime opportunity for the club.

“They get the biggest draw of the round and then they win it and I know they’ll have every player available and wanting to play tomorrow.”

Worcester have yet to taste defeat at Aggborough this season, but despite failing to get the better of their opponents in three previous clashes, Brakes know three points will lift them above their hosts in the Conference North table.

And, with a blank weekend allowing several players, including Stephan Morley and Danny Newton, much-needed recuperation time, Holleran says his side are confident of gaining a result.

“We’ve had a bit of breather.

“It’s nice when the results don’t go your way to get out of that environment for a bit and now we’re looking forward to getting going again.

“We’re aware how tough it is going to be. We’ve had encouraging periods in our three encounters (against Worcester) but we’ve not been able to sustain it for long periods.

“However, we’ll be a bit fresher after our break and we’re ready to rock and roll.”
