Jai Stanley's first-half free-kick was enough to earn leaders Brakes a seventh straight Southern League win on Saturday.
The midfielder beat keeper Paul Evans with a fine shot from the edge of the box after 28 minutes of a match in which accurate finishing from either side was otherwise in short supply.
It was enough to keep Brakes out in front in BGB Division One Midlands and, with most of their rivals on FA Cup duty, extended their early lead to five points.
Luke Corbett had a pair of first-half chances at the New Windmill, the best being the second one from Mykel Beckley's cross. Swifts were firmly on the back-foot by the time Stuart Herlihy was fouled on the 18-yard line and Stanley scored straight from the free kick.
Mark Bellingham was just wide after chesting down the ball, turning snd shooting all in one movement. Jamie Towers, making his 100th appearance for Brakes, supplied the striker with a fine cross for another chance.
Herlihy then had a header saved by Evans and Swifts were grateful for the half-time whistle.
Manager Neil Hunt must have used his team talk to good effect.
Bellingham and Guy Sanders both had early chances for Brakes, but the visitors did a lot better thereafter.
Leigh Downing was on target with a long shot from wide right which Morris held, following which the visitors forced a fruitless corner.
For Brakes Beckley hit the base of a post for the third time in the last two games and Shay Morgan burst through only to shoot wide.
Beckley again went close after chesting down a pass and sent his shot narrowly over the angle.
Leamington should have gone in at half-time with a five-goal lead, whilst Swifts, who fielded ex-Bromsgrove manager Duane Darby, produced some woeful shooting.
Cadden was happy enough to collect the points, but gave credit to Swifts for a battling performance. Defender Martin Hier was Brakes' man of the match.
