A teenager was attacked yesterday (Thursday) in a Leamington park by a group of five after she refused to hand over her mobile phone.

The 16-year-old was walking through Victoria park around 10pm when she was assaulted by three men and two women. She suffered cuts and bruising to her face but nothing was stolen.

The group leader was described as a white woman aged 18 to 20, of slim build and with jaw-length blonde hair with brown hair underneath. She was wearing a green top with blue jeans and a brown leather belt.

Anyone who may have information should contact Pc Karen McClay on 415000 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
