A pig roast at the Long Itchington beer festival raised more than £1,000 for charity.
The event was hosted by the Duck on the Pond and organised by villager Dan Healey in aid of Mutual Support – the armed forces Multiple Sclerosis support group.

Resident Bill Land is the charity's national fundraiser and suffers from MS.

He said: "Dan worked tremendously well to gather his friends together and organise the pig roast with the help of the Duck on the Pond.

"We plan to do the same again next year only bigger an better with attractions so that visitors can sit in the sunshine and enjoy some entertainment with their drink and a pork roll."

Mr Healey is going to take part in the Great South Run in October to raise funds for Mutual Support and will be supported by a group of villagers.
