Man hit by train was student, 20

A man killed when he was hit by a train in Leamington was a 20-year-old Warwick University student.
Transport police are investigating the incident, reported at 4.19pm on Sunday. The death happened on Chiltern Railway's mainline track near the former Ford Foundry.

The death is not being treated as suspicious.

The man, said to have relatives in Berkshire, has not yet been identified. His next of kin have been informed.

The Chiltern Railway service from Birmingham Snow Hill to London Marylebone was suspended until about 5pm.
