Harbury ready to sample ale

Lavender, honey and chocolate flavoured ales will be on offer at Harbury Beer Festival this month.
The two-day event, which is organised by the Campaign for Real Ale, begins on August 29 at Harbury village hall and will include Purple Pig, a special creation from Warwick's Slaughterhouse Brewery.

CAMRA's Warwickshire branch chairman Andrew Laycock encouraged visitors to turn up early. He said: "The Harbury festival is a very popular event and will be busy. We have revised the bar layout to reduce congestion and to enable a larger range of beers. However, the village hall has a limited capacity."

The event is open from 5.30pm until midnight on August 29 and from 11.30am until 4pm from 6pm until midnight the following day.

Admission costs £2 evenings and £1 on Saturday lunchtime. Children are not allowed at evening sessions. To find out more visit:
