Woman dies in crash near Ufton
A woman has died after being involved in a crash near Ufton this morning (Thursday).
The car the woman was driving was in collision with a lorry on the A425 at the Bascote crossroads on Leamington Road at around 6.15am. The road was closed for some time and firefighters attended the scene to use their specialist equipment to cut the woman out of the car, but she was confirmed dead at the scene.
Two men in their 40s who were travelling in the lorry suffered minor injuries and were treated at the scene.
Any witnesses or anyone who may have seen either vehicle prior to the collision are asked to call police on 101.
