People living in sheltered houses close to Charter Bridge in St Nicholas Park are protesting about a Sea Scouts boatyard, surrounded by tough security fencing, being re-positioned close to their homes.

The mainly elderly residents, who once campaigned for better CCTV cameras at the bridge, have asked district councillor Linda Bromley (Ind, Warwick South) to speak up when the application goes before district planners on October 14.

The existing scout hut is being relocated to Pickard Street with another hut close to the park’s leisure centre.
