Warwick man jailed for burglary

A Warwick man has been jailed after being found guilty of burgling a house in George Road, Warwick, in September last year.

Kelvin Hill, 41, formerly of Spinney Hill, Warwick, had pleaded not guilty to the offence but was sentenced yesterday (Friday February 24) to three years in prison after being found guilty by a jury at Birmingham Crown Court.

A concerned neighbour contacted police who attended the property and caught Hill in the back garden with the stolen items in his possession.

Detective Constable Paul Luke said: “Hill was caught and convicted thanks to the vigilance of a neighbour on George Road who called police. I’d like to thank them for their vigilance, it’s always reassuring to know that local people are looking out for their neighbours.”
