Dancers and storytellers brought the festival of Vaisakhi to life at the town centre building, with a free programme of live Indian performances and arts activities exploring the history of the occasion.

Vaisakhi is a harvest festival celebrated in northern India and also marks the start of the Sikh new year and commemorates the year Sikhism was established as a collective faith.
