Two Castles ticket site closed after '˜malicious attack'
The site crashed less than half an hour after opening for registrations at midday on March 1 in what organisers have blamed on a “malicious distributed denial of service attack” on the page.
So far, only 53 people are registered for the event which expects to see thousands of runners head from Warwick Castle to Kenilworth Castle on June 12.

Hide AdThe popular 10k run usually sells out within hours of tickets going on sale, and furious runners have today taken to the internet to vent their frustrations at being unable to secure a coveted place.
A statement released from the organisers read: “We are very sorry if you are experiencing problems entering the Two Castles race.
“Our server has been overloaded with a denial of service (DOS) attacks that are maliciously trying to sabotage the event or the entry system.
“We are doing everything in our power to resolve the issue and will be back online as soon as possible.
“Thank you for your patience.”
The race is organised by the Rotary Club of Kenilworth and Leamington Cycling and Athletics Club and a new ticket site will be launched at 8.30am on March 2.
