World renowned speakers will help bring in visitors to the George Eliot Fellowship with special readings exploring the writer’s time in London.
Speakers, Gabriel Woolf and Rosalind Shanks will perform readings by and about George Eliot as part of the next event at the Kenilworth Methodist church.
Chairman of the Fellowship, John Burton said their readings will include excerpts from the novels which refer to London and Eliot’s essays written when she lived in the city.
He said: “There is a huge interest in our famous Warwickshire author in the Kenilworth and so it seemed appropriate this year to ask Gabriel and Rosalind to perform here.
“The talks are relevant to the second half of her life which was spent in London, though she never forgot her Warwickshire roots.
The talks start at 2pm on October 18. Tickets £10 for non members from www.georgeeliot.org or 02476 619126.
