Among other fundraising, pupils at Southam College raised more than £3,600 during the school’s charity week earlier in the spring, which has enabled the school to sponsor the guide dog training of a puppy at the Guide Dogs For The Blind charity.

The teenagers have now been invited to name the puppy, which will regularly visit the school. Headteacher Ranjit Samra said he thought it was a “fantastic achievement” by the pupils.
