In its ‘Capability’ Brown-designed park and inside its art gallery, the site laid on a party with a traditional fun fair, live music, afternoon tea, a barbecue, beer tent and plenty of arts and crafts activities - including an attempt to create the longest line of bunting ever recorded by the Guinness Book of World Records.

Visitors were also invited to dress up as their favourite artist or work of art and create their own ‘live’ sculpture by posing on the site’s 12th plinth.
