Around 250 people enjoyed a sunny summer fete at the Shree Krishna community centre in Leamington on June 21.
As well as performances by Indian drummer Rishi Gupta, the event included a variety of stalls selling home-grown vegetables and flowering plants, Indian textiles, bric a brac and gifts. Members of the centre’s ladies group had worked hard to prepare home-cooked Indian dishes for people to sample, while people at the event also had the chance to have their hands painted with Indian-style henna patterns. Proceeds from the event will go towards improving the centre, which hosts regular free yoga classes and other activities. Pictures by Jass Lall.
