The Sydenham home hosted an international food and dance festival which drew on the expertise of residents and staff, while the Lillington home recreated celebrations for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.

Christine Asbury, chief executive of WCS Care, which runs both homes, said: “All the themes and events were designed and organised by frontline staff and the residents to be as fun, inclusive and informative as possible.”
