Arnold Lodge School’s parent-teacher association is donating part of the proceeds from its forthcoming Style and Sparkle event to Foundry Wood in Leamington, where the compost toilet - which had been built by volunteers - was burned down by vandals who broke into the site in July.

The event will take place at the school in Kenilworth Road on Thursday (November 19) from 7.30pm and it will feature styling tips and makeovers by image consultant Marie Haycocks, Christmas gifts on sale, pampering treatments and a raffle.

Tickets cost £7 if booked in advance or £10 on the door and include sparkling wine and canapes. As well as to Foundry Wood, proceeds will also go towards the school’s PTA and Helping Hands homelessness charity.

A new fireproof compost toilet will be re-built at Foundry Wood by volunteers. The Friends group which manages the site is welcoming donations towards the project of both money and materials, as well as people who are willing to help. Email [email protected] or call 07814 605245.
