When the new president of the Rotary Club of Royal Leamington Spa assumed office at its annual handover meeting at The Angel Hotel on Tuesday June 28 members could be forgiven for thinking they were seeing double.

The outgoing president, retired chartered surveyor Barry Frith, is seen here congratulating his successor Barry Andrews who is also a retired chartered surveyor.

Mr Andrews joned the club in 2013 and in his introductry remarks he praised members for its success in serving the community - which is the prime objective of the Rotary International organisation - and for maintaining a healthy number.

Mr Andrew’s late father was a member in the 1990s and his old headmaster at Leamington College for Boys served as president in 1959.
