Warwick post office robbed

A post office in Warwick was robbed this morning.

Police are investigating the robbery which happened at the post office located at Shire Hall.

At around 9am this morning (Tuesday) a man went up to the post office counter and demanded money from the staff.

The man then made off with an unknown quantity of cash.

No weapons were seen and no-one was injured.

The offender is described as a black man in his early 30s with stubble on his face, wearing grey tracksuit trousers, a black top and black trainers.

Police are appealing for anyone who might have any information or witnessed anything at the time of the robbery to come forward.

Anyone with any information should call Warwickshire Police on 101 quoting incident 101 of 14 March.

The post office in Shire Hall is currently closed because of the incident.
