Two awards events will mark the conclusion of the Leamington Underground Cinema Festival on Saturday (October 11).
The winner of The Emerald IT LUC Video Game Prize - a trophy and a cheque for £500 - will be announced at the Zephyr Lounge in Spencer Street at noon.
Following the ceremony, there will be a special screening of The King of Kong: A Fistful of Quarters in which two wildly different men - one a softly spoken school teacher, the other an egomaniacal hot-sauce millionaire - compete for the world record on the brutally difficult Donkey Kong arcade game.
Entry is £3.
The Pump room will then host the final two events of the festival.
At 5pm there will be a screening of Richard Ayoade’s dark comedy The Double.
The stylish film based on Dostoyevsky’s novella features an outstanding performance by Jesse Eisenberg at the centre of an incredible cast and an atmospheric and moving soundtrack.
Tickets cost £5.
The final event of the festival will be the ceremony for The Aspect Consultants LUC Short Film Prize 2014.
Nearly 1800 films were submitted to this year’s festival.
The very best wil be screened and the creator of the winning entry will be presented with this year’s prize and £1,000.
Between the on screen action, host Frankie Griffiths will test guests’ cinematic knowledge with film-related prizes on offer.
