The owner of a takeaway in Warwick will take to new heights for his last fundraising challenge.

Since April Baabzi Miah, owner of Baabzi Indian Takeaway in Coten End, has been raising money for the NHS Covid-19 Appeal.

He is aiming to raise £10,000 for the cause and to help raise the funds he has so far held a charity night at the takeaway and also completed a bike ride from Birmingham Children's Hospital to Warwick Hospital.

Baabzi and his takeaway team have also been donating meals to NHS staff and those helped by Leamington-based charity Helping Hands.

As well as supporting the NHS Baazbi's efforts have also been in memory of his son Adam who died in 2017 at just 11 months old.

To help boost his fundraising and help him get closer to his £10,000 target, Baabzi will be taking to the skies next month, which he says will be his last fundraising challenge.

Baabzi said: "I will be doing a tandem sky dive on August 9 from the Chiltern Park Aerodrome in Ipsden in Oxfordshire.

"I have never done anything like this before.

"I am advised that it will be between 10,000 to 15,000 ft in the air depending upon weather conditions.

"I am genuinely nervous and a little scared, but I will do whatever I can to reach our target in memory of my son Adam.

"I have resorted to the old way of raising money, hard copy sponsorship forms seeking donations and sponsorship.

"Also this is demonstrating my further commitment to my goal of raising 10k for the charities.

"This will be my last fundraising attempt. I feel we have put in a lot of effort so far.

"We are at just over £6,000 and I would really sincerely like to ask everyone to donate and sponsor me in this final push to raise the noted target."
