New bar The Boiler Room opens near banks of River Leam in Leamington town centre

A new bar has opened just south of the River Leam in Leamington town centre.

The Boiler Room, in Victoria Terrace next door to the former Robbins Well' pub building which is being converted into apartments , welcomed customers for the first time at the weekend with a 'soft launch; by booking only taking place on Sunday (August 30).

The bar's owner Jack Woodward, a 23-year-old aspiring entrepreneur from Hinckley, has described The Boiler Room as "an independent, industrial-styled ale, craft beer, cider and gin bar".

It took about 8-months for the premises to be fitted out.

Jack said: The Boiler Room is the result of two years of planning and provides a space for the people of Leamington to try an ever-rotating selection of craft products."

The bar's opening times are from Tuesday to Thursday 2pm to 11pm, Fridays and Saturdays from noon to 11pm and Sundays from noon to 7pm.
